    If I’m not mistaken, that’s Beverly D’Angelo singing the lead on that song. She’s one of my favorite underrated actresses. See “Coal Miner’s Daughter” for another example of her fine but little-noted work. Also several of the National Lampoon road movies. I actually worked with her briefly in Nashville, back when we were BOTH nobodies, instead of just me.
