[...] Recall last month—A fascinating and unexpected turn of events came from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Rand Paul actually was the more mainstream of the two Republican U.S. Senate Candidates in town for rallies. In fact, the Central Kentucky Tea Party Patriots were rallying around the teabagger, but this time it was—Bill Johnson? Rand Paul is the mainstream candidate of the evening. [...]

This country does not need people like Rand Paul in our government. We do not need people like Dennis Kucinich (as much as I like him) either. We need more people like Bill Clinton, people who can forge strong compromises to better everyone as a whole while allowing mutual political benefit to all involved parties. The 2-party system has brought us to a zero-sum dualism that helps no one, and as much as Rand Paul and his father try to pretend that they feel the same, they remain wholly subservient to the GOP and the low-brow campaing tactics, flaccid domestic policy, disdain for public health, ignorance of environmental issues and bizarre conspiracy-laden foreign policy positions that they are ideologically bound to. Rand and Ron Paul are not revolutionary thinkers, they are snake-oil salesmen.

Well!

At some point we will get tired of the persistent bait & switch tactics of Libertarians. This rally is a perfect example. There will never be enough Libertarians, Greens, Independants or any other splinter party to govern the United States. So the Libs will align with republican'ts since the only issues separating them are medical marijuana's efficacy and undiefication of the government & money. Libs run in republican't primaries claiming to buck the system by moving the party to the right, increasing our individualism & independance. A reality check brings them up short when they discover log-rolling and other republican't tactics that they use in lying to each other, as well as the public and their allies. In the partian view of things the Libs decide to obfuscate and further confuse to deceive the public begin being REAL republican'ts.
