Transparency and Accountability? Not on Voters Rights Bill

A month ago, a post detailed Kentucky Democratic State Representative Jesse Crenshaw’s continuing effort to speak for the disenfranchised in Kentucky: felons who, despite completely paying their debt to society, remain without the right to vote or hold office.

As expected, once again the bill has cleared the Kentucky House, only to be jammed up in committee in the Kentucky State Senate. Damon Thayer, who purports to sometimes be an advocate of transparency and accountability, is preventing the bill from being given a clear vote.

Joe has pointed out a great idea:
let Damon Thayer know how you feel on this matter, and ask him to let the bill be voted on.

Oh, and just to ease a concern, one does not have to remain a fan of Thayer’s on Facebook after leaving one’s comments.
