Put Richie In (Jail)

Okay, obviously the majority of this is a failure to properly account for surplusing of old items. But 3 laptops issued directly to Richie Farmer in a two day period? That’s significant.

Looks like newly elected auditor Adam Edelen may be making his first criminal referral after completing his upcoming audit.

I always thought republicans were fiscally conservative? Anyone remember him spending $40 on valet parking and $2,000 a day on penthouse suite hotel rooms? As much as I would like to see him in jail nothing will happen to him no jury will convict him as he will continue to use the fact he played basketball at UK 22 years ago. I’m just waiting for blue & white t shirts to appear that read ” Leave Ritchie alone!”

3 Laptops in 3 daze. What’s so strange about that? He would use one for a day; it would lock-up, like Windowz duz; turn it off and get a new wan in the morning. Wife got 1 of the 3; gurlie-gurl got the proceeds on the second. The juan leftover was stuffed under the seat of his SUV.

Former Ky. ag commissioner asks for unemployment

    Posted: 6:47 PM Feb 1, 2012

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) – Former Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer has asked for unemployment benefits.

The Courier-Journal reports that the state agriculture department confirmed it had records pertaining to Farmer’s unemployment application but could not release them. Holly VonLuehrte, the agency’s general counsel, says state law requires the records to remain confidential.

The newspaper submitted a request under the state’s Open Records Act for his application. Farmer served as commissioner for eight years, making a yearly salary of more than $110,000 when his term ended. He left office Jan. 1.

Elected public officials are not eligible for unemployment benefits under state unemployment compensation law. If the claim were approved, he could have received $415 a week.

State officials say they couldn’t remember the last time an elected state official asked for unemployment benefits.
