A Startling Statement by Mitch McConnell

As Congressman Awesome (John Yarmuth) pointed out today, no-lips Mitch McConnell put out a new 3 minute video promoting himself ahead of his 2014 race. Think Mitch is frightened and trying to scare off a tea party primary? It’s possible.

In a slick, highly produced and highly choreographed 3 minute video, it is fantastic that Mitch McConnell never speaks a single word about a single issue that will make our country a better place. McConnell never speaks a single word about the Commonwealth of Kentucky that he is supposed to be serving as a leader. And he never says anything on any issue, other than how powerful he is. Unbelievable? Watch for yourself. ALL HAIL OUR NEW OVERLORD.

The disturbing parts were the opening with all those non-white persons cheering, and appearantly [although not actually] cheering for him, and his obsession with making the Obama House the white house … again. His catch phrase, “Clean-up America, beginning with the non-whitehouse is seditious, to say the least. mcconnell recognizes no mandate to govern, only obstruct. mcconnell was the leader of the opposition to Clinton as well as Obama.
Blaming Obama for the credit downgrade is liar, liar grade of misinformation and distortion. If the University of Louisville had any ethics left after ramsey and loving got through with it – it would rescind the degrees conferred on mcconnell. Especially from the Brandeis School of Law, named for one of the great liberals in U.S. history.

All Mitch what have you done in 30 years? Obama has done more in 4 than you can do in 100! My #1 goal is 2014 is too see that you are retired Mitch!

What a sad state of affairs for Kentucky. Both senators are ineffective and incompetent. What has Rand done to help anyone besides himself and his dad?

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), is trying to attach an anti-choice amendment to the Senate’s flood insurance bill.
After years of delay, senators recently came to an agreement over the flood bill and were set to vote on it this week.
But now, Paul is threatening to hold up its final passage by adding an amendment defining when life begins. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) expressed his displeasure with that move this morning, saying he would not bring the bill up for a vote if the amendment is added:

This is ridiculous, that somebody says I’m not going to let this bill goes forward unless I have a vote on when life begins. I am not going to do that, and I think I speak for the majority of senators. Now, if the Republicans won’t stand up to the person who is going to do that, I’m not going to. I have tried my best to deal with these issues that have nothing to do with a piece of legislation.

What an embarassment for our State. I guess Rand feels he is competent enough to determine what is constitutionally correct. Maybe he self-certified himself a SC justice like he certified himself an opthalmologist.
Here’s our illustrious Senator again; or as Pres. Reagan would say “Now there you go again!”

Kentucky Rep. Rand Paul insulted the highest court in the land Thursday when he declared the health-care decision to be the wrongful opinion of “just a couple people” in a statement. “Just because a couple people on the Supreme Court declare something to be ‘constitutional’ does not make it so. The whole thing remains unconstitutional,” Paul said. “While the court may have erroneously come to the conclusion that the law is allowable, it certainly does nothing to make this mandate or government takeover of our health care right.” The senator pledged to fight to overturn the decision. “This now means we fight every hour, every day until November to elect a new president and a new Senate to repeal Obamacare.”

    Good point, Roy.

But McConnell didn’t Mitt Romney create a government healthcare when he was a Governor of Massachusetts? If it is good for Mass it is good for the other 49 states. But I like Marco Rubio’s comments about Romney care. If you don’t like you can move out of Massachusetts but because Obama made it law in the other 49 he won’t encourage people to move out of the country. Oh man I’m glad my job transferred me to England. According to Bill Maher the republicans act like 14 year old boys. I agree!
