There is no jakepayne style payola here; Knot-Bob and I are merit employees so we must use pseudonyms. The alliances are open. In open alliances there is no ethical boundary to cross; only empty accusations from empty buckets like you.

Honest and unpurchased view? I’d say this blog is wholly owned by the Beshear administration, since the proprietor is a non-merit bureaucrat whose continuation in his high-paying job is contingent upon Beshear winning re-election. Those reversionary rights could result in said proprietor being transferred to being the janitor at the state highway garage in Fulton County should Williams win. Therefore it’s in Bob’s financial best interests to promote Beshear/Abramson and slam Williams/Farmer.

As for ‘Perfect …” up above. Let’s point out a few problems with his opinion. Keep yer grits in yer plate; I’m not going to tell you to have no opinion, or it’s wrong. I will argue that it’s misguided.
1. No government employee is ever selected because it is a liberal, except during the fletcher administration – and then it was selected because it wasn’t a liberal and had a note from its republican’t county chair to prove it. It is selected because it is either:
A. a political appointee, like Bob, who has a record of legal compliance that has not been reversed by higher authorities, and in many cases lauded for efficacy of scope & quality of written decision. Quit blushing!
B. a merit employee, like me, who has demonstrated administrative, operational and executive competence, avoided complaints from subordinates and the public, demonstrated timely performance, recording and reporting as well as accurate documentation – before appointment by the state.
2. Any merit employee, like me, who holds a public position in any manner that can identify it, is in violation of the state’s statutes on merit appointments.
3. Merit employees may only be discharged for cause: absence, poor performance (defined by the job description and employee handbook), insubordination, political activity, felony conviction or intemperate public display – to include, but not necessarily limited to – rude public behavior or discourse.

Your saint fletcher sought to dismantle this structure and now you argue putting a bunch of knuckle-dragging, pencil-necked, pointy-headed, uneducated, illiterate, toothless cretins on the payroll like they did is an improvement?

Yeah, we tried that in the last administration and it didn’t work out so well. Politicians seem to struggle with the power and responsibility that comes with their elective office, but it was particularly stunning with how quickly the Fletcher administration descended into corruption and criminal activity. The state GOP needs to wander in the wilderness a while longer.

Liberal Democrats infesting Kentucky state government is a large part of what’s wrong with this state. We need to purge this type of thinking from Frankfort and replace said individuals with common-sense conservatives who are frugal with the taxpayers’ money and understand that government is the cause of many problems, not the ultimate and best solution to problems. There have to be some ways around 18A to get rid of those with this poisonous mindset in state government.
